Communication on the rise for Castle Phoenix Trust
The Disconnect
Meet Ian, Estates and Facilities Manager at Castle Phoenix Multi- Academy Trust. The Trust has six school sites across the West Midlands and Ian was keen to find a communication solution which would keep them all connected.
Tasked with future proofing the Trust ahead of the ISDN switch off, Ian needed to find bespoke cloud-based solutions for each of the schools which would fit their needs without breaking the budget.
As an existing partner to Castle Phoenix Schools, we knew we could help.
The Answer
We drew up a project plan with Ian, meeting to determine the best VOIP setup for four of the six schools as a start - Kingsbury School, Foxford School, Caludon Castle and Hill Farm Primary School.
Existing analogue lines were ceased to make way for new cloud-based connectivity. Brand new phones were installed in every classroom to boost safeguarding and allow staff to communicate across school quickly. Mobile apps were set up for staff, meaning instant connection over sites like Kingsbury and Foxford schools, along with remote working capabilities for all staff.
All installations were carried out to fit with the schools’ schedules, so Ian could focus on trust business while we took care of everything else.
The Results; Loud and Clear
Connaught’s cloud based system has been very popular across the Castle Phoenix Trust. Call recording safeguards staff and students, while the emergency tannoy system allows staff to send alerts through their school at the touch of a button. Intuitive admin functions mean Ian can make changes easily giving him full control of the phone system.
Parents are happier too, with dedicated lines to make absence reporting easier and auto attendants to keep them informed about school dates and opening hours.
Ian and his team are so pleased with Connaught’s connection service, they are already planning to upgrade the final two schools in the trust and implement a project linking all schools onto one system for easier transferring between sites. Clever communication for Castle Phoenix.
