Modernising Communications for Moseley Primary School
The Disconnect
Meet Moseley Primary School, a well-established Primary School situated in Coundon in Coventry. The school were relying on an outdated Siemens system to keep their communications operational. However, with their existing system becoming obsolete and facing an imminent switch-off, the school needed to act fast and upgrade their telecommunications to future-proof the school.
As one of our long-standing and existing customers, the Connaught team conducted a demo for Moseley Primary School so they could see the benefits of our leading VoIP phone system, Xelion.
The Answer
The school were impressed by the all-inclusive package, with features such as call recording, unlimited calls, and softphones/mobile apps included as standard. This would facilitate the team with flexible working and support with safeguarding. The upgrade to Xelion would also future proof the school and ensure long-term reliability, following the changes taking place with their outdated ISDN lines.
The Xelion solution also integrates with the school’s MIS platform, Bromcom, which we successfully implemented across eight members of staff. When a call comes in, parent information is automatically displayed, along with a Bromcom record pop-up. This pop-up shows the details of the caller and options to view; relation, the person, past logged incidents and the option to log a new incident on the Bromcom platform.
The seamless installation included the roll-out of six executive handsets for the office, plus sixteen classroom handsets across the school site for safeguarding. Connaught also supplied two Bluetooth cordless headsets for the office team, enabling them to answer incoming calls quickly and efficiently.
The Results; Loud and Clear
The team at Moseley Primary School are delighted with the new system, as it has improved how they handle incoming calls and the overall parent experience. The migration to Xelion has also made the school a 40% saving on their monthly bills. Integrating Bromcom with their new system has made it easier for the school admin team to access necessary information and respond more efficiently to queries. A great result all round for this growing primary school.
