The Disconnect

Meet Ashley. IT Lead at Central Region Schools Trust. Based in Birmingham, the Trust was founded by the Royal Society of Arts, with a vision of “social justice through exceptional schools”.

Ashley was looking for a replacement for the CCTV system at lead school Arrow Vale Academy, replacing their existing analogue system with a modern IP setup. Arrow Vale Academy wanted to bring their surveillance onto the cloud, with high-definition camera units and reliable support.

The Answer

As the existing telephony and CCTV supplier at Arrow Vale Academy, Ashley got in touch with Connaught to see how we could help him upgrade his surveillance. Following site visits from our engineers, the team chose a mix of internal and external cameras to ensure pupils and staff were properly protected.

The IP system was installed over the internal network, so staff could access footage remotely 24/7, and high-definition cameras improved image quality. Connaught also installed more comprehensive storage to extend retention, and Ashley opted for a full maintenance package for enhanced peace of mind.

The Results; Loud and Clear

Everyone at Arrow Vale is delighted with their new surveillance setup. Safeguarding and security are improved by clear imagery and extended playback. Staff can now access footage instantly via the mobile app, so incidents can be dealt with more quickly, and videos can be kept for longer to aid staff training.

Connaught support also means that Ashley and the team always have expert technical advice on hand, and includes regular maintenance visits to ensure the system keeps the school safer for years to come.

The team were so happy with Connaught CCTV that we have since installed at another school in the Central Schools Region Trust. A secure solution for this growing organisation.
