Meet Marc Charles, Technical Director at Landau Forte Charitable Trust (LFCT). Landau Forte in Derby is a multi-academy Trust renowned for its dedication to providing outstanding educational opportunities.
The Trust consist of six sites in the West Midlands, with all 500 users. With antiquated and differing PBX systems across their multiple sites, the LFCT team were looking to centralise and improve their communication across the Trust.
With limitations to their existing PBX systems and the impending ISDN switch off high on the agenda, the LFCT team were ready to transform their telephony.
The Answer
LFCT took a strategic leap forward by embracing cutting-edge technology to streamline their communication infrastructure. LFCT partnered with Connaught to implement a trust wide, VOIP based phone system. Connaught proposed the implementation of their leading solution, Xelion, a powerful platform aimed at optimising internal communication and future-proofing operations, across 500 users.
Xelion offered unparalleled flexibility to adapt to the various needs across the multiple sites, including reception phones, classroom handsets, and cordless devices. Its intuitive interface and all-inclusive feature set enabled the LFCT team to tailor the system to the school’s individual needs. Xelion’s provision of mobile apps and softphones empowered LFCT’s staff to work remotely without compromising communication quality, ensuring uninterrupted flow across operations and sites.
The Results; Loud and Clear
Through its partnership with Connaught and adoption of Xelion, communications at LFCT have been transformed. Connaught’s dedicated Project Management Team ensured a seamless roll-out, with all 500 users across 6 sites installed over the summer holidays, ready for launch at the start of the new academic term.
Connaught’s provisioning team ensured all numbers were transferred over to the new Xelion system, meaning minimal disruption between the old and the new Xelion system.
The LFCT team are thrilled with the Xelion solution and have already seen how the system has advanced their educational offerings, empowered staff and parents are happier too. With dedicated lines to make absence reporting easier and auto attendants to keep them informed about school dates.
