Transforming communications for Bordesley Green Primary School
As one of our long-standing and existing customers, the Connaught team proposed the installation of our leading VOIP phone system, Xelion.
This upgrade would modernise the school’s telecommunications and ensure long term reliability, following the issues they had experienced with their outdated ISDN lines.
The Disconnect
Meet Bordesley Green Primary School. A large and well established Primary School in Birmingham, who encourages their pupils to become active, independent learners. The school had been relying on an outdated Avaya phone system to keep their communications operational.
However, with their Avaya system becoming obsolete and
facing an imminent switch-off, the school needed to act
fast and upgrade their telecommunications to future-proof
the school.
The Answer
As one of our long-standing and existing customers, the Connaught team proposed the installation of our leading VOIP phone system, Xelion. This upgrade would modernise the school’s telecommunications and ensure long term reliability, following the issues they had experienced with their outdated ISDN lines.
This included the rollout of 30 new handsets across the
school site, plus enhanced features such as call recording
for safeguarding, a direct pupil absence line, and voicemail
to email at no additional cost.
The Results; Loud and Clear
Connaught’s dedicated engineering team conducted a thorough site survey ahead of installation to confirm the existing infrastructure at the school. As part of the upgrade, the team received free mobile apps and softphones to offer enhanced communications. This enables the school to make and receive calls regardless of location, whether this be on a school trip, or remote working required by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
The team at Bordesley Green Primary School are thrilled
with the new system, which ensured they were futureproofed
for many years to come.
